Approach to Therapy
Lisa works from a client-centred approach and is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness. She is passionate about helping clients navigate through life’s complications and offers a safe, supportive and caring environment, where clients can feel heard, understood and supported.
Lisa can assist with a range of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss and adjustment issues. She has a special interest in perinatal mental health and can assist new parents in the transition to parenthood. Lisa also has experience assisting clients managing chronic and invisible illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
Much of Lisa’s career has involved supporting adolescent clients and she provides accessible psychological support to adolescents and their parents during this often complicated and challenging time for families. She is particularly skilled at engaging young people in the therapeutic process, helping to empower them to better manage their own mental health.
